These terms are between you and Certifiable, LLC, South Charleston, West Virginia (“Certifiable,” “we”). Using the site or creating an organization account means you agree to them. Questions: hello@becertifiable.io.
The product
Certifiable lets an organization issue training or CE certificates from a branded PDF, import a roster, email a retrieval link, and let attendees look up a copy. PDFs are generated when someone with a valid code or link asks for them. Each issued record has a unique hash stored with the attendee and the issuer. That hash is an identifier we generate. It is not a cryptographic proof of the PDF’s contents.
Certifiable is not a learning management system, not a public directory of certificates, and not a place to browse other people’s credentials by name.
Accounts
Organization accounts are for the entity that issues certificates. You must give accurate signup details and keep login credentials to yourself. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on the plan you pick. Failed payment can pause issuing until the subscription is current.
Your content and your roster
You own the PDF template and the roster you upload. You grant us a license only to host that material and to generate and deliver certificates for your events. You are responsible for:
- having the right to use the artwork and names on the template
- the accuracy of attendee names, emails, dates, and hours
- having a basis to email those people (certificate delivery and lookup codes)
- how you describe the credential to boards, employers, or attendees
We do not accredit your course. A Certifiable hash means the copy came through this product for that issuer’s record — not that we verified the training itself.
Attendees
If you are on a roster, the issuing organization put you there. Lookup emails a short-lived code to that address. Share links last 24 hours and work once. For a correction or deletion, start with the issuer. You can also write hello@becertifiable.io.
Acceptable use
Do not probe other people’s certificates, scrape lookup, bypass access codes, or upload malware. Do not use Certifiable to issue credentials you have no right to issue. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law.
Sample pages
Pages under /demo (including the Town of Amity examples) are fiction for showing the product. They are not live clients or live attendee records.
Availability and limits
We aim to keep the service up, including lookup after an event. We do not promise uninterrupted access. Features can change. We are not liable for lost business, lost credentials in a third-party board’s eyes, or damages beyond fees you paid us in the three months before a claim — except where West Virginia law does not allow that limit.
Privacy
How we handle data is in the Privacy Policy.
Law
These terms follow the laws of the State of West Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in West Virginia have venue, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. Material changes to a paying organization will be emailed to the account address when we can.
